Walter F. Maxwell, 83, of 1806 Fremont Street, died Tuesday morning in Culver Hospital. he had been a farmer and a farm drainage engineer for many years. Born November 27, 1891 at Bowers, he was a ason of Alexander and Minnie Steffler Maxwell. He was married to Doris Ephlin on Nov 20, 1948. She survives. Also surving are a son<, Robert R. of Shannondale; two daughters, Mildred Marbaray of Boulder Colo and Theda Wyrick of Colfax; four brothers, Lawrence of Andersona nd Ralph, Elmer and Ales of Darlington; two sisters, Carrie Horney of Anderson and Amy Hulvey of Darlington; 7 grandch and 8 great, grandchildren. Four brothers are deceased. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday Hunt & Son Funeral home with Rev. Jack Wachenschwanz officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
